ART i PART is the first community artistic creation program in the city of Barcelona.

ART i PART wants to bring value to the different day-to-day life, the stories, the characters and the interests of each neighbourhood in the city. It promotes participative artistic creations in which the local people work together with all kinds of artists.

ART i PART is now one more of the many community arts projects that in the last 15 years have been promoting entities, artists and organizations in the city of Barcelona. ART iI PART however brings a different approach in terms of sustainability to these projects: not trying to invent anything new, the project takes advantage of existing organisations working for environmental causes and with different missions and goals.

The creation of these partnerships occurs by listening to the interests, concerns, needs and connections among the cultural and community actors of each participating neighbourhood. The joint research, under a hybrid leadership, allows us to share the practices with each other and diversify methods with non-standardized models. The heterogeneity of the participants, their rhythms and their experiences, is what enriches each of the creations.

The first season ART i PART started with the participation of the districts of Poblenou, Sant Andreu, Raval, Sant Pere, Santa Caterina and La Ribera and La Marina. The second season takes place in Poble-Sec, Gòtic and Besos.

I commissioned the program, having followed its conception and articulation in each of the participant neighbourhoods in both editions.

On the right you can see the video of the ART i PART season 1 documentary and a video of “Rebomboris”, Art i Part Gótic.
